We are proud to announce the appointment of General James E. Rainey (U.S. Army, Ret.) to the Agentic Defense Solutions Advisory Board.

General Rainey joins us following nearly four decades of service, most recently as the Commanding General of U.S. Army Futures Command. In that role, he led the Army's largest modernization shift in forty years, ensuring that the next generation of American soldiers is equipped with the world's most advanced and reliable technology.
The Vision for Continuous Transformation
A career infantryman, General Rainey has commanded at every echelon, from elite units in the 75th Ranger Regiment and 82nd Airborne Division to the 3rd Infantry Division and the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center. His leadership style is defined by a commitment to the "Soldier-centric" design of technology.
At Futures Command, he pioneered the concept of "Continuous Transformation," arguing that modern systems must be tested and refined in real-world operational environments rather than behind closed laboratory doors. He fundamentally believes that while machines can extend a unit’s reach, the ultimate advantage remains the human in the loop.
Building the "Operational Trust Layer" for the Modern Battlefield
At Agentic Defense Solutions, our work on the ARIA Platform and ARIA Hermes is designed to solve the exact challenge General Rainey often highlights: the need for reliable, auditable, and safe AI in high-consequence environments. As autonomous systems become central to Human-Machine Integrated Formations, the barrier to adoption isn't just the software—it’s the trust.
“To guarantee our security, we must recognize change and adapt faster than any army in the world,” General Rainey has noted. At Agentic, we provide the safety framework that allows that adaptation to happen without compromising mission integrity.
We are privileged to have General Rainey’s tactical wisdom and strategic foresight as we build the future of governed autonomous defense.
