We’ve been busy.
Since launching Agentic Defense Solutions, we’ve spent a lot of time talking with our customers across National Security, Defense, and the broader defense industrial base. We kept asking one fundamental question: What is the biggest challenge holding you back from using modern AI?
The answer is almost always the same: How do we embrace artificial intelligence without compromising our core principles?
In high-stakes environments, humans must stay in the loop. Intelligence needs to be authoritative, reliable, comprehensive, and air-tight when it comes to security.
Right now, standard commercial AI is being dropped into defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure without the basic controls these environments demand. Today’s models can "think," but they lack the governance, auditability, and safety required for decisions that carry real-world consequences.
To bridge that gap, we built ARIA (Agentic Reasoning Infrastructure and Architecture).
ARIA isn't another generic AI "wrapper." It’s a dedicated control plane that sits between your models and your operations. It ensures every decision is recorded, reproducible, and policy-enforced before an action is ever taken. Put simply: ARIA makes AI governable and defensible in the world's most demanding mission environments.
Why Standard AI Fails the Mission
Most AI products are built for convenience, not consequence. When the stakes are high, standard AI fails in four critical ways:
No Audit Trail: You can’t reconstruct how a decision was made, leaving operators, reviewers, and auditors with zero visibility.
No Policy Gate: Models often take action before policy checks occur, allowing non-compliant or hazardous outputs into production.
No Provenance: Inputs, sources, and reasoning paths vanish into a "black box," making outputs impossible to defend.
Model Drift: Behavior shifts silently across model updates or providers, steadily eroding trust over time.
One Stack. Two Ways to Deploy.
ARIA isn't a simple chatbot—it’s the underlying governance, audit, and execution infrastructure powering your applications. We offer two entry points depending on what your mission requires:
Capability | ARIA Platform | ARIA Hermes |
The Form | Infrastructure / SDK | Production-Ready Application |
The Goal | Build your own mission-critical AI apps on a compliant, governable stack you fully control. | Deploy ready-to-use agentic workflows out of the box for analysts and operators. |
The ROI | 60–80% faster time-to-production by shipping with built-in compliance and policy rails. | Immediate value with a visual workflow builder and an interactive investigative canvas. |

The ARIA Governance Layer (Control Plane)
At the heart of ARIA is an enterprise-grade governance engine positioned right between your data fabric and your LLM integrations. It’s built on four technical pillars:
Real-Time Policy Engine: Acts as an active gatekeeper, enforcing legal, compliance, and operational rules before an action happens—not auditing mistakes after the fact.
Deterministic Decision Chains: Replaces "black box" randomness with fixed, auditable logic paths so every reasoning step can be reviewed and reconstructed.
Immutable Audit Logs: Records every "Who, What, and Why" using cryptographic hashing (HMAC-SHA256), creating an unalterable record for high-consequence scrutiny.
Human-in-the-Loop (HITL): Configurable approval checkpoints ensure the AI advises, but a human always makes the final call.
Observability & The ARIA Score
Transparency is non-negotiable. ARIA evaluates every model output in real time using the ARIA Score:
Veracity: Verifies output structure, accuracy, and logic.
Explainability: Summarizes the AI’s decisions, assumptions, and steps in plain, readable English.
Grounding: Tracks tool usage and source attribution to keep hallucinations at zero.
Safety & Budget: Actively monitors for policy breaches, detects anomalies, and sets hard spend limits to stop "runaway agents."
Built for the Edge, Cloud, and Everything In-Between
ARIA is completely model-agnostic. You can connect it to leading commercial LLMs or run it alongside self-hosted models via API.
Deploy Anywhere: Full support for commercial cloud, on-premises (behind your perimeter), and true air-gapped environments with zero "call-home" dependencies.
Built-In Compliance: Engineered from day one to align with DoD IL-4/IL-5, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53 standards.
Zero-Trust Security: Native integration with CAC/PIV and FIPS 140-2/3 compliant encryption for enterprise-grade authentication.
Because this heavy lifting is already done, engineering teams using the ARIA Platform ship 60–80% faster—no need to hack together compliance and audit tools after the fact.
From the Mission, For the Mission
Agentic Defense Solutions was founded by veterans of the US Intelligence Community, Palantir, and Snowflake. We’ve spent decades in the trenches supporting the DoD and IC, building mission-critical systems that pass rigorous review the first time.
